Tools and Apps I Use for Personal Growth
"Growth happens when intention meets consistency — and the right tools bridge the gap."
Hi Friends!
If there's one thing I’ve learned on this journey of personal development, it’s this: growth doesn’t happen by accident—it’s intentional.
But staying intentional every day? That takes support, reminders, and sometimes… a little tech help.
As a life coach, I believe in using whatever tools work—and in today’s world, that includes some incredibly powerful apps and systems that help keep me aligned, grounded, and growing.
Here are my go-to tools and apps that support my personal growth on a daily basis. Whether you’re just getting started or deep in your journey, I hope something here helps light your way.
📓 1. Notion – For Organizing My Mind and Life
I call Notion my digital brain. I use it to:
Track goals & daily habits
Brain-dump thoughts or blog ideas
Reflect on wins and challenges
Plan coaching content
It's flexible, visual, and helps me stay on track without overwhelm. (I even have a Gratitude Journal template in it!)
🧘♀️ 2. Insight Timer – For Meditation and Nervous System Regulation
This free app is packed with guided meditations, breathwork sessions, and sleep tracks. I love:
Morning grounding meditations
5-minute resets during stressful moments
Gentle music to help me unwind in the evening
Even just a few minutes a day helps me show up calmer, more present, and connected.
📱 3. ThinkUp – For Affirmations and Mindset Shifting
ThinkUp allows you to record your own affirmations in your voice and play them back with calming music.
Hearing my own voice say things like “I trust myself” or “I am safe to be seen” has been surprisingly powerful for rewiring beliefs.
This one is especially great if you’re working on self-worth, confidence, or overcoming old stories.
📚 4. Goodreads – For Tracking My Personal Development Books
As a book lover and growth junkie, I’m always reading something that expands my mindset. Goodreads helps me:
Keep track of books I want to read
Reflect on takeaways from favorites
Stay inspired by others’ reading lists
(P.S. Some of my recent faves: Let Them by Mel Robbins, The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest, and The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.)
🧠 5. Journal –
Day One is apopular choice, known for its intuitive interface and strong focus on privacy, including end-to-end encryption and the option to lock the app with a passcode, TouchID, or FaceID.
Journey is also a good option, available on multiple platforms and designed to help users keep track of their gratitude, health, and mental calm through journaling.
Or, no app at all —but it’s still a non-negotiable.
Every morning or evening, I take 5–10 minutes to ask myself:
What am I grateful for today?
What do I need right now?
What am I learning about myself?
Whether digital or on paper, journaling gives me space to tune in and trust my own wisdom.
6. 🌀 Bonus: Breathwrk App – For Quick Calm
Whenever I’m feeling anxious, tired, or overwhelmed, I pull up the Breathwrk app.
It offers 1–3 minute breathwork sessions based on what you need: energy, focus, sleep, calm—you name it.
It’s like a nervous system reset button right in your pocket.
💬 Final Thoughts
“Growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing the right things—with consistency, intention, and heart.”
These tools don’t replace self-awareness or inner work—but they do support it.
They keep me grounded, organized, and in alignment with the life I want to create.
And the best part? You don’t need to use everything all at once.
Try one. Build the habit. Let it become your new normal. Then add more if and when it feels right.
You deserve support. You deserve ease. You deserve a growth journey that works for your life.
