Perseverance
“Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th” – Julie Andrews
HI Friend!
As I thinking about what I wanted to write for this post, I remembered an activity that my son did in third grade- and of course I saved it- so I dug it out and am so excited to share it with you:
P – Practice
E – Endurance
R – Respect to yourself
S – Set your mind on a goal
E – Encourage yourself
V – Venture with your luck
E – Even though impossible, go try
R – Retry and don’t let yourself give up
A – Ask questions
N – Never say “can’t”
C – Can’t give up
E – Everything will go well
I cant believe how insightful he was in third grade- I couldn’t of done it better myself. I will definitely be saving this to share with my clients. Its always very interesting to think that they were talking about perseverance in my son’s third grade class. It really is such an important quality to look at.
While I talk a lot about the power of CONNECTION, GRADITUDE, and accountability in achieving your goals for emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness, there's another essential ingredient in this journey: perseverance. Life is full of challenges, and sometimes, the path to healing and growth can feel long and winding. It's during these times that perseverance, the ability to keep going even when faced with obstacles, becomes our guiding light.
On your coaching journey, I am committed to helping individuals heal, thrive, and live life to its fullest potential. Achieving such significant life changes often requires dedication, resilience, and a willingness to persist through difficulties.
Here are ways that embodying perseverance can empower you on your journey as we work together:
Overcoming Challenges in Addiction Recovery: Recovery from addiction is rarely linear. There will be setbacks and obstacles on the road to lasting change. Embracing perseverance during these challenging moments can mean the difference between giving up and staying committed to your goals.
Achieving Emotional Wellness: Building emotional resilience, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and cultivating self-compassion all take time and effort. Perseverance is essential to navigating emotional setbacks and continuing to move forward on your journey toward emotional well-being.
Deepening Connection and GRADITUDE: Building deep and meaningful CONNECTIONS requires vulnerability, patience, and perseverance. Nurturing these CONNECTIONS and maintaining an attitude of GRADITUDE can be challenging at times, and perseverance allows us to see the value in the long-term rewards of these efforts.
Remember, perseverance is not about being perfect or never stumbling; it's about getting back up and continuing to move forward, one step at a time. I am here to support you every step of the way, offering compassionate guidance and encouragement as you cultivate perseverance and navigate the path towards a richer, more fulfilling life.
